We are at the forefront of lab automation research
At OSPIN, on top of connecting lab devices to the cloud and linking them to each other, we also develop new automated bioreactor systems. Some biological applications are so innovative and complex that they can’t be automated by combinations of exiting devices. This often leads to biological products never reaching the market. Our R&D projects address this challenge and aim to bridge the gap between biological research and novel biological products.
From stem cells to organoids production, from cardiac tissue stimulation to targeted drug delivery: our R&D projects cover a wide range of applications. Discover them all here:
- ProFIT – Development of a bioreactor system for automated, GMP production of stem cells
- ProFIT, AMBER – Development of a perfusion system for vascularized, printed organ models
- ZIM – Development of a cartridge bioreactor for parallelized cultivation and stimulation of complex tissue models
- ZIM – Development of a modular rocking motion bioreactor system
- KMU innovativ, Autosphere – Development of a fully automated 3D cell culture system for the production of spheroids and organoids from mammalian cell suspensions
- H2020, EMAPS – Development of a new platform for growth and maturation of cardiac microtissues for adult-like organotypic models
- H2020, ActiTOX – Development of in vitro biomimetic systems to speed up nanoparticle-based product testing for safety and toxicity while reducing the use of animal experimentation
- H2020, iP-OSTEO – Development of cell-based scaffolds for bone and cartilage repair in older patients with poor regenerative capacit
